Approaching the bridge on Warburton Bridge Road, from the Rixton side. Warburton Toll-Bridge crosses the Manchester Ship Canal, connecting the A57 with the A6144 in Trafford. The toll was originally charged for crossing the old stone bridge across the now dried up bed of the diverted River Mersey, originally built in 1863.
