Ivybridge has become a dormitory town for Plymouth, and indeed Exeter, especially since the new A38 was opened in 1973, and this road forms part of a large estate on the western side of the town. The road on the right is Portal Place. Taken from an island in the middle of the junction with Woodland Road.
