The Bracken Centre, built with money from the International Fund for Ireland, is a community and sports centre.This is where the Pride of Ballinran Flute Band - one of the top Ulster Marching Band - holds its weekly practices. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnIRrdtw274&list=FLnv_8CbLNAL-jJipuJv_UUQ The name Ballinran comes from the Irish "Baile an Raithin", meaning "Townland of the Bracken".
