The house is grade II listed http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-182008-washington-house-130-warton and has a date stone for 1612 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2323776 Warton and nearby Borwick have connections to the family of first US president George Washington although he never lived here. If he had, then he would have been handy for the pub (the George Washington, formerly Black Bull http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1797542) and also the shop/post office http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2202163 Those aren't his cars in front in case you were wondering ...
