View westward, towards Peterborough and - to right beyond the station - northward to Whitemoor Yard, Spalding/Lincoln/Doncaster/Boston/Grimsby etc. March was an immensely busy junction of important main lines, especially for freight to/from Whitemoor. The train, headed for Cambridge via Ely, has D16/3 'Super Claud' 4-4-0 No. 62530.
