The former Duke of Gloucester public house, Croydon. The following extract is from the Croydon Guardian: "A suspected arsonist struck the Duke of Gloucester pub in West Croydon on Sunday morning. Fire fighters were called at around 4am to a blaze at the pub which has been empty for over three weeks. The pub, in Sydenham Road, was gutted by the fire believed to have been started in the early hours on Sunday morning. The roof and all floors of the pub were badly damaged and police are now investigating."
