This is a close-up of King Edward VIII's Royal Cipher on the rare postbox at Kingpost Parade, Burpham. The elegant design of the cipher is in total contrast to the overly ornate ones used for his grandfather King Edward VII, and again by his brother and successor, King George VI. Image
