Pictured from the site of the gas works across the river, the pale limestone building was the front of the railway station. Behind it, where the bogus warehouses now stand was a considerable train shed. The bogus warehouses, in a garish gold brick, have Dutch gables and a particularly stupid mock crane, which does not align with any openings in this twee modern building
