A 328 bus waits before commencing its journey to World's End. The triangular junction of West End Lane with itself has been a bus terminus for many years. Currently the 139 route terminates here with services from Waterloo - the vehicle behind is a metroline bus on that route. The 328 normally routes through to Golders Green from Chelsea but occasionally when traffic conditions result in late running a vehicle will be turned short at West Hampstead as in this case. The vehicle is a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL. The morning sun highlights the Plane trees behind on the green itself, bringing out the callouses on the underside of some of the branches and the large number of seed balls still hanging on the tree.
