The brick extensions described in Image] can be seen on the right. This was the original entrance to the police station. The Stamford force was a Borough force until the re-organisations of the 1970s, and after the 1930s expansion this part of the older victorian building used to house the Chief Constables office and the Magistrates office. It has been rented out to a private medical organisation for some years.
