In the foreground and crossing the River Pol is the Saxon Bridge, which in spite of its name dates from the 1860s http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-61479-saxon-bridge-2-metres-to-north-west-of-co . Doubtless there was an earlier structure. The bow-fronted building is Nelson's Restaurant. Ahead, at the T-junction on Fore Street, is the post office. The village square element of Big Green is on the left.
