View southward, towards Chesterfield (Midland) station; London St Pancras etc. - Sheffield etc. main line. Back in 1957 it was very unusual to find an LNER B1 4-6-0 on this line at all, but this one (No. 61239) was from Carlisle Canal Depot of all places; destination not known.
