The Eastham Ferry Hotel, on Ferry Road. A ferry service operated across the River Mersey between Eastham and Liverpool, from about the 12th century until 1929. The Eastham Ferry Hotel was built by Thomas Stanley, the owner of the paddle steamer ferry service.
