I took this photograph in the mid 1970s of the "ghost train man" at Pickmere lake funfair (which no longer exists). The gentleman's name was George Webb, who used to be a gymnast champion at Salford Lads Club in his day, and when they re-located to Pickmere just after the war, he used to cycle to and from work in Trafford Park every day - what a man..!
