Up For The Cup

A Harry Shaw coach makes its way southbound along the M1 with Birmingham City supporters from St. Andrews Tavern, Small Heath. They're on their way to watch the Carling Cup Final at Wembley. The bookies had Birmingham City as 4-1 outsiders against Arsenal so it probably was a journey made more in hope than expectation. In the end it turned out to be a worthwhile journey with their team snatching a 2-1 victory in the last minute of normal time after a calamitous error in the Arsenal defence. The vehicle is a Scania with Irizar bodywork and was a Scania demonstrator in its first year of service with Harry Shaw. No doubt the driver had a happy coach party on the way home!
