"As part of the planning conditions for their new office the Welsh Assembly Government was required to provide a piece of external public art at the site. Renowned sculptor Sally Matthews was chosen to be the artist following a selection process. Following consultation with the local community, including taking part in the Open Day at the site of the office in June 2009 and visiting local schools, Sally chose to make a sculpture of a Welsh mountain pony. The sculpture was unveiled by Business and Budget Minister Jane Hutt on 17 June 2010." Quoted from the website of the Welsh Assembly Government, with acknowledgement.
