The M60 motorway passes over The Bridgewater Canal just to the west of Worsley. The bridge in the foreground is carrying the access slip road from junction 13, whilst the bridge behind carries the main M60. This photo was taken at quarter past three in the afternoon; 45 minutes later the area was gridlocked with stationary commuter traffic.
