Looking towards Birmingham and Lichfield. The line was opened by the Midland Railway in 1859. It is now on the Cross City Line serving Lichfield, Birmingham, Redditch, and stations in between. Maps still mark the station in SP0271 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1640896 but a new platform and approach was built here when the Cross-city line was upgraded and electrified in 1993. The buildings in the distance are the original station buildings.
