The inn dates back to the 15th century and has connections with the church of St Michael across the road. I guess it has changed a bit over the centuries but not a great deal in recent years - 2006 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/140200 and 2009 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1616290 although Ind Coope, the brewery to which it was tied in 1976, no longer exist.
