A rather romantic view of olden times with two knights galloping away from the castle. Bridgnorth's castle was begun in 1101, and further work was carried out in the 13th century. After that no-one was particularly interested, and by 1540 it was reported to be a ruin. The tower survived until Cromwell's troops blew it up in 1646, and only a little now remains. Image Image
