Bridgnorth is quite keen on lions. As well as this White Lion Inn, there is still a Golden Lion Inn in High Street. A trades directory of 1828 also shows a Red Lion in Underhill Street, but by late Victorian times that seems to have either disappeared or changed its name. Image
