The Three Houses Inn

John ‘Swift Nick’ Nevison, one of Britain's most notorious highwaymen, was arrested at this inn and subsequently hanged at York Castle in May 1684. A blue plaque was erected here in 2009 to record this event. See Image The inn is a grade II listed building of 4 builds, ranging in date from late C17 or early C18 to early C19. All now roughcast with stone flagged roofs. LBS Number: 441435
