This photograph is taken from Wentbridge Village, at a point just south of the river Went on the edge of the B6474 (the old A1). The footpath leads all along the valley, through Brockadale Woods, to Kirk Smeaton. Barely visible, centre shot is Wentbridge Viaduct, which carried the main A1 trunk road across the valley.
