The bridge carries Roman Road (A4103) above railway lines located north of Hereford station and about 800 metres SW of Shelwick Junction. An alternating one-way flow of traffic across the narrow bridge is controlled by traffic lights. There is room for only a narrow pavement for walkers, but even that is an improvement on the pavementless approach. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2234014
