Buckie harbour and the 'Captain Scott'

The sailing ship is the top-sail schooner 'Captain Scott', which was launched from the Herd and Mackenzie shipyard (behind the viewpoint http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2254999 ) in 1971. At the time this photograph was taken (1976) the vessel was registered in Stornoway. Today it is called the 'Shabab Oman' and is with Royal Navy of Oman. The tall, white building in the distance (at the western end of the harbour) is the ice factory. This was demolished in April 2009 after being closed for more than a year.
