Cutting the corner of the lanes, this saved a few minutes for those hurrying to church, which is hidden by the trees ahead. Today little used, as it starts behind the viewpoint at a crossroads of lanes, all of which are narrow, hedged, and unpleasant to walk, with no off-road walking for some way.
