An evening shot of this 17th century inn, fronting onto the junction of the main A4 Bath Road and A39. The village of Newton St Loe had a colliery named after the inn, and is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall; in fact, the combined manors of Newton and nearby Englishcombe form the biggest estate outside Dartmoor.
