Another former pub, all that gives away this building's history is the Artist plaque on the wall, the trademark of Morlands Abingdon Brewery, which eventually suffered a similar fate to this place and is now housing. The artist incidentally was one George Morland, 1763 - 1804, a well known painter related to the brewing family. Apparently his dissolute lifestyle got him a spell in jail. Nothing to do with the family product I'm sure...
