The small hillock conceals a mains water storage tank which feeds the residents of the Ardkill Road. Its pumped to the tank along a mains pipeline which runs the whole way from Ardmore village up the Bigwood and Lisdillon Roads. Its then gravity fed to the Ardkill Road.
