Art School, Edmund Street

The Edmund Street elevation of the Birmingham City University School of Art building, originally the Birmingham College of Arts and Crafts. A memorial tablet at the corner of the building has the date 31 May 1884 and the architects names: William Martin and John Henry Chamberlain. The building is in red brick with many decorative details including terracotta reliefs of plants, carved window surrounds, tile inlays and mosaics and decorative ironwork.
