Headquarters of New Tredegar Rugby Football Club, located on James Street, viewed across the Rhymney River bridge. Surprisingly for a village in South Wales, the club was founded as recently as 1977. In season 2010-2011, New Tredegar's first XV play in SWALEC League Division 4 East.
