The Baptists' chapel in Glanwydden is a fine little building, so gracious and retiring that it is easy to miss it entirely when passing. The plaque on the gable reads: "AINON - ADDOLDY Y BEDYDDWYR GLANWYDDEN, CORFFORWYD 1789". My translation is "AINON - Baptists' place of worship, incorporated 1789". Apparently there is an inscribed OS bench-mark on the structure, but I did not observe that.
