View from Hamilton Gardens. On the left of the shot Gunnfleet Sands and The Naze, in the centre Felixstowe beach shore and the pier, behind which the dock cranes stand against the sky. At the right hand edge is South Beach Mansions, built by the cartridge manufacturer Eley and rented by the Empress of Germany in August 1891.
