Lock No 7 on the Droitwich Junction Canal

This shows the top gates of another new lock on the restored cut of the Droitwich Junction Canal, in the town of Droitwich. Connection to a canalised River Salwarpe awaits, so that navigation can resume after the canal was abandoned in 1939. The river is out of sight in the undergrowth beyond the lock. The recent housing is in Heron Place, Hill End.
