Possible bomb damage to Sefton Park perimeter wall?

This section of the Sefton Park perimeter wall is badly damaged for a short distance and has distinctive pock-marks to either side. The area is known to have been bombed during WWII so I wonder if this is bomb and shrapnel damage? See also Image Croxteth Drive is on the right.
