The Northern Ireland Road Transport Board (1935-48) had a penchant for concrete bus-stop signs. Its successor – the UTA – continued the policy for a short time before adopting conventional enamel signs. This UTA “stage” sign is alongside the Donaghadee Road at Millisle. A stage sign indicated where the fare zone changed.
