Seen looking downstream (and north) from the footbridge which connects Northcote Road and Northcote Avenue. This little river joins the Thames at the upstream end of Isleworth Ait, at about TQ 166 754. The weeping willow is already showing green, in early January, though the leaf-buds will not open for a few weeks yet. In the London area, trees of this species always seem to be the first to come into leaf .
