In mid-January not even bright days are very long and as the winter sun is setting everything soon turns into monochrome colours. The fertile fields beside Lutton Gate Road are as black as the tarmac and only the grass is still reflecting the winter sunlight. Pear Tree House Farm can be seen in the distance.
