Castle Hotel, New Cumnock

The Castle Hotel in New Cumnock was visited by Robert Burns in the 1780's. The strange thing about this photo is that while the pub has been left to go to ruin, there is a fantastic mural painted on the end wall - I have submitted a close-up too. (this photo and others for this square, are dedicated to Mr John Dick of Australia who emigrated from New Cumnock - G'Day Mate!)
