Meadow Road, Beeston Rylands

The area in Beeston between the railway and the Beeston Canal is known as the Rylands and was traditionally part of the River Trent's floodplain - the last major flood in the area was in 1947. Flood prevention measures made it possible to develop this flat land extensively for housing in the 1960s.
