Seen across a field of oats at North Leckaway, these new buildings at Orchardbank are the new headquarters of Angus Council. Even before they were fully open, in spring 2007, it became clear that there is an acute shortage of parking space, with council staff having to park all over the industrial estate. It is said that no-one took into consideration the fact that many employees who could walk to work when their offices were in the town would have to travel to work by car once the offices moved out.
