A C14th fountain installed in the C19th in the wall west of Ryton Pinfold. Pevsner describes it as an unusual drinking fountain, using a re-used medieval crocketed canopy, possibly from Old Durham Market House (cf. masonry at nearby Thorpe House). An old photo of this well taken from the collection of W.A.
