The name of the field according to Hamsey's 1840 tithe map that has been extended to include Image to the north. The cottage in question was Little Hewenstreet Farm which once stood on the left hand side. The farm was believed to have come into existence around 1810 but had ceased to be named on OS maps from the 1950s and ceased to have existed altogether by the 1970s. Kiln Wood is to the left which is a remnant of Lower Alford's Wood whilst Beachy Wood to the right is a remnant of Upper Alford's Wood.
