Image: © Alan Cooper Taken: 15 Sep 2009

A well restored art deco restaurant with many thirties interior features including a superb centrepiece – a 9ft mirror etched with a naked lady, surrounded by thousands of tiny silver mosaic tiles that some say is the work of Picasso. More info at their website: http://www.carron-restaurant.co.uk/history.htm plus interior photos in the gallery section. The alternative entrance in Evan Street is a more severe form of art deco in grey granite. Another photo here: Image
