John Porter and Derek Brown have located this for me as I really couldn't remember where I was when I took this one. In the Foreground is the steamship Streatley. Built 1905 by Salter Bros Ltd, Oxford and fitted with a W Sisson triple expansion engine - 6", 9" & 12" x 8" and good for 160 indicated horsepower. She was converted to internal combustion engine power in 1959 but refitted with her original engine in 1995. She was being prepared for a charter on a vile day and we were welcomed on board while she was being readied. My colleague had an umbrella that was keeping the weather off my camera. She is one of a small group of steamers used for charter work on the Thames.
