The name of the field according to the 1838 tithe map. The field was obviously enlarged prior to the tithe surveys as part of this field once lay in Chailey parish and the other in Barcombe (survey carried out in 1839 where it was called Home Field), the oak in the centre being the former parish boundary. It seems this field's days are numbered as there is a planning application being submitted to construct a new housing estate.
