The “Brian Boroime” was one of two ships built in Cork for the British Railways container service between Holyhead and Dublin/Belfast. The service operated from February 1971 to December 1989. She is seen at the Gotto Wharf container terminal, Belfast. The terminal and the impressive container cranes have since been redeveloped for other harbour use.
