Looking towards the line of the North Downs just east of Boxhill, from east of Strood Green. The house on the top of the Downs, visible to the right of the prominent oak tree, is Brockham Warren, built by Mackley Browne in 1816, and subsequently the home of Sir Benjamin Vincent Sellon Brodie, Bt, the first president of the General Medical Council. The snow is for a fall a week previously.
