Taken on Christmas Day 2010. Snow persists after a moderate fall five days earlier. The view is towards Shaftesbury Park, past the left turns for Hoskins Street and Wheeler Street. There are no houses on the opposite side of Pugsley Street. The land is occupied by a car park, games court http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1620243 and allotments. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1638042 Some of the streets in this area are named after mayors at the time the houses were built in the late 19th century. Pugsley was mayor of Newport in 1887.
