The GNR(I) line from Knockmore Jct to Castlewellan closed in 1955. This is the view of the site of the line at Poland’s Bridge, between Banbridge and Castlewellan, looking towards Banbridge. The trackbed has been levelled and incorporated into the fields. The trees on the left mark the course of the line. The trains called here but there was no platform.
